December 31, 2009. Happy New Year’s Eve! So far Jamaica has been amazing! We’re all so happy we got to do this. Your home has given us quite the wonderful experience. The views are out of this world! Cutty is my new best friend and we are taking home with us many of Sharon’s recipes! My favorite part of our trip was hiking to the waterfall at Black Sands Beach and feeling like one of the locals. Everyone was wonderful and your house was fantastic.

We simply do not have the words to express how wonderful our week at Cabarita Lookout has been. The house is amazing, the surroundings incredible and Cutty, Sharon and Natalie simply out of this world. Friends for life and then some. We will be back next year for sure.

I have to say one week here went way too fast! This is the most
beautiful setting for such a wonderful house. Sharon and Natalie were
absolutely the best cooks - every single meal was an absolute pleasure
- we were always looking forward to the next meal wondering what new
foods we would be trying. Having four kids and not once hearing a
complaint about food was an amazing feat! Job well done ladies! Cutty
was a brave man taking care of our group of eight! We enjoyed every
trip with him up and down the mountain and were so thankful to have
such a skilled driver. The kids, Kevin and I, had a lot of fun at
Dunn’s River Falls. James Bond Beach was a fun afternoon also. The
most amazing experience was taking Grandma and Grandpa to Black Sands
Beach, then hiking up to Tacky Waterfall! WOW!! Thank goodness Aaron
was along for the trip. He was the one to get Grandma and Grandpa to
the falls and then back - I was so proud of Mom hanging in there! That
day holds a million memories for each one of us - that was an
experience of a lifetime. We had a fabulous time here in Jamaica. We
enjoyed talking with the people, swimming in the ocean, hiking to the
waterfall to see its untouched natural beauty, climbing Dunn’s River
Falls, shopping in Ocho Rios, going to the beach to buy Mahi Mahi and
lobster - and we enjoyed the awesome view right here from the house -
we just loved it! Thank you Sharon, Natalie and Cutty for making this
a vacation of a lifetime! We would love to come back someday - there
is no better way to experience Jamaica!

This is truly a sensual paradise. Having come from cold, bleak
Chicagoland, where my outdoor times consist of running from my car
into the store, I have basked in the awakening and satiating of my
senses. This place is glorious! My skin has been caressed by moist
gentle breezes, warm sunshine and cooler nights. My eyes have feasted
on the wonderful lush green vegetation so generously dotted with
vibrantly colorful flowers...cheerful colors carried over to the
painted homes climbing the mountainsides...the blues of the skies and
ocean always changing. What a magical place! To be serenaded to sleep
by tree frogs in January and local music wafting through open windows
and then waking in the morning to the call of the neighborhood rooster
and entertained by the resident mockingbird trying to trick us - ho!
Climbing the stairs to the main room brings the enchanting aromas of
Sharon’s magnificent breakfasts - the herbs, spices, textures and
interesting foods - every meal is a delight with desserts I could not
resist. All of this and the activities were wonderful and will be
remembered for a very long time.What brings the biggest smile to my
soul is the memory of the people - so kind, so friendly, so with the
flow of life. I cherish the joy I observed as they greeted each other.
Thank you so much for discovering this paradise and for your
graciousness in sharing it with me and others. Blessings to you both.

This is the best vacation I have ever taken. The sunrises were awesome and the views the best! The house is all I expected and more. Cutty and Sharon were great! The food was delicious and the ride entertaining. Don’t change anything!

From the amazing meals to the Black Sand Beach, I have had the vacation of my life. Sharon has been an absolutely incredible chef; Cutty is my new best friend; and the Blisses have made the past two weeks something that I will be telling stories about for years to come. Jamaica (and the view from the house) is BREATHTAKING. A home away from home is an understatement, I truly feel that I have found something that allows me to forget the worries of home and enjoy the beauty of my surroundings, which is not complete without mentioning the people of Jamaica, by far the most welcoming people I have ever encountered. Pam and Ed have made my time in the awe inspiring country that much more amazing. If I am fortunate enough to travel back to this country there is no question that I will be staying at Cabarita Lookout! Best wishes and many, many thanks.

I have found my new home away from home. From the moment I stepped off the plane here and arrived at Cabarita Lookout I felt I belonged in Jamaica - its welcoming climate, landscape, and especially people delight all visitors. My favorite part of this trip was wandering into Port Maria and discovering its treasures. The vegetable market makes for the best meals and fresh fish can be purchased from the local fishermen and the oceanside bar is a great place to enjoy music. The Blisses are wonderfully accommodating and delightful in their stories. When I’m next able to come to this island I’ll look forward to staying at Cabarita Lookout and enjoy the spectacular views. Thanks for a great trip!

I woke on my first morning in the master bedroom that is fit for a king and queen. The breath-taking view from our private terrace was a new "Kodak moment" every morning.

Each day started this way coupled with the aroma of Sharon's terrific breakfast being prepared for us.
There were plenty of local sights, activities and beautiful beaches or we could opt for a lazy day by the perfect pool and visiting next door at Noel Cowerd's estate,Firefly, for tea.
One of our favorite attractions was "Cutty", our driver and new friend for the week. He is the most genuine "nice guy" with an encyclopedic knowledge of Jamaica.
No comfort details were overlooked from a flashlight to the candle by my elegant claw foot tub. There was even a novel about Errol Flynn's days and romance with Jamaica.
Cabarita Lookout was everything and more that you dream about for your Caribbean Vacation.

Thank you so much for providing ALL the ingredients for a memory making time in Jamaica! Your home was ours and we felt so welcome. THE VIEW...A slice of heaven. CUTTY AND SHARON...We were never so well taken care of or pampered. Day trips, our adventures, were well orchestrated by Cutty. He was well known to area people who must have been twice the "nice" because of him. Sharon, with her shy smile and masterful ways in this Jamaican kitchen had us looking forward to every meal. Black Sands Beach and Tacky Falls were unbelievably gorgeous. If you are up for the hike (some challenges) the reward, amazing! Moxon's snorkeling and bar service made for a fun day. CABARITA LOOKOUT...

we've been very comfortable and shared fun experiences with our friends. We have made rocking chair memories!

The most relaxing vacation ever! This was the first vacation that my wife and I actually spent quality time together. She had more smiles in one week than I have ever seen.
