THERE’S A PLACE CALLED “KOKOMO”
Kokomo is a local beach bar at the bottom of our hill. A great place to stop for a beer, pick up some fresh fish or lobster, or arrange for a boat ride to pristine beaches like Black Sands Beach.

 

PAGEE BEACH AND CABARITA ISLAND
Pagee Beach is another great place to meet local fishermen as their boats come in and pick up the “catch of the day.” Cabarita Island is our namesake and became famous in Dr. No, Ian Fleming’s popular movie.

 

DUNN’S RIVER FALLS
Dunn’s River Falls in Ocho Rios is about a 30 minute drive from Cabarita Lookout. Nestled in the rainforest, the falls are spectacular to see and exciting to climb.

 

BAMBOO BEACH CLUB
Located about 20 minutes from Cabarita Lookout, Bamboo Beach Club is located in a beautiful cove with big sandy beaches, a jerk chicken stand and bar, and lively reggae music. A perfect afternoon!

NOEL COWARD’S “FIREFLY”
Sitting adjacent to Cabarita Lookout is Noel Coward’s famous estate “Firefly.” Now a museum and frequent site for weddings and reunions, “Firefly” offers a peek into the glamorous life of playwright Noel Coward and his many

Hollywood friends.

 

TEA AND COOKIES ANYONE?
“Firefly” offers tea and cookies and a tour of the original home of Noel Coward.

CAPTAIN HENRY MORGAN'S LOOKOUT
This original structure at "Firefly" housed Captain Henry Morgan's lookout. This famous buccaneer actually shot cannon balls (which still remain in the building) from the portholes in this structure. Pirate fans won't want to miss this!

 

COZY LIVING AREA
Kick back and read a book, watch TV or a movie or listen to your favorite music in the comfort of Cabarita Lookout's living room. The dining room table you see in the background seats 12 and will adapt for more.

MASSAGE TABLE AND IN-HOUSE MASSEUSE
You'll want to book a massage or two with Racquel, board certified massage therapist and reflexologist, during your stay at Cabarita Lookout. She charges $30 USD per hour and is worth much more!

Shopping for fresh fruits and vegetables at the local market is fun and satisfying...not only do they look delicious, they taste delicious too! Fresh squeezed orange juice and a fresh fruit plate accompany every breakfast at Cabarita Lookout.

 

THE NORTHERN COASTLINE
Adventure beckons as you view the Northern Jamaican Coastline from your veranda. Pristine beaches and small fishing villages dot the landscape.

 

THE ACKEE TREE
The "ackee" is the national fruit of Jamaica and bears a bright red fruit served frequently for breakfast. Cabarita Lookout's ackee tree grows outside the Sunrise Room.

There is no better place to welcome the day than the verandas at Cabarita Lookout! Then stroll inside and smell the aroma of Jamaican Blue Mountain Coffee! A great way to wake up to another day of fun in the sun!

SUNRISE OVER THE CARIBBEAN
The Caribbean Sea is beautiful at all times of the day and night, but sunrise is especially nice. The skies change colors over and over as the water sparkles below.

ART WORK IS PLENTIFUL AT THE OPEN AIR CRAFT MARKET
Original artists and craftsmen display their wares at the Ocho Rios Craft Market. Beautiful paintings, wood carvings and jewelry are fairly priced and a keepsake from a trip you'll long remember.

BLACK SANDS BEACH AND AMAZING WATERFALL
A short boat ride away brings you to the delightful Black Sands Beach. A short hike from the beach brings you to the amazing waterfall. Jump on a bamboo raft and swim under the falls ... guaranteed to make you feel young and alive!

CATCH OF THE DAY
Colorful fishing boats dot the bay around Cabarita Island. About 10:00 am the boats return to shore with loads of Mahi Mahi, Red Snapper, Tuna, Kingfish and Lobster. You can join Cutty for the adventure or send him on his own ...

either way it's fresh fish for dinner!

GOOD DAY
Every morning starts off with a smile as you gaze out at sea off the verandas of Cabarita Lookout. Pictured is the private veranda of the master suite.

THE RAINFOREST
Cabarita Lookout sits amidst the dense foliage of the rainforest. Tropical flowers and fruits abound and a vegetable garden is on the premises with fresh herbs and local vegetables. Fruit trees including mango, papaya, orange, banana and lime are also on the property.

"ISLAND FLAVA"
While gourmet restaurants like Toscanini's and Evita's are available in Ocho Rios, local restaurants promise fun and surprises! Always colorful, always tasty! Enjoy the "Island Flava" while in Jamaica.

 

MARGARITAVILLE
As in most touristed areas, Ocho Rios has its Margaritaville and Hard Rock Cafe. While you don't see many locals in these places, tourists continue to enjoy them.

PRIVATE BEACH ACCESS
Cabarita Lookout has private beach access at Moxon's Beach Club in Boscobel, about a 15 minute drive away. The water is crystal clear and a one-mile long reef lies within swimming distance. Perfect for snorkeling!

KICKING BACK AT MOXON'S
Guests enjoy lounging on the piers at Moxon's Beach Club. Drinks and lunch will be served to you on the water or at the beachside bar. The menu is good and the service impeccable.

A JAMAICAN FAREWELL
The sun sets in Jamaica as well as rises. At day's end you'll marvel at the beautiful colors of the Jamaican sunsets.
